Before You Leave Home

Make sure OBS and NOALBS are running before you leave home, and make sure NOALBS is error free.

Going Live

When you're ready to go live, open Twitch chat in Stream Buddy or the Twitch app and type !start. This automatically switches OBS to your Starting/Intro scene and begins streaming to Twitch — you're live, but on your intro screen.

Plug the Mushbox into your battery bank — use the highest power output port (the Mushbox cable has a zip tie on it for easy ID). The second power cable from the hub goes into the second USB-C port on the battery bank. Plug your camera into the top blue USB port on the Mushbox, power on the camera, and make sure it's set to webcam mode.

Open the Belabox admin page in Stream Buddy or your phone's browser and press the green Start button at the top. This begins sending your audio and video to the Belabox cloud. Once NOALBS detects the signal, it will automatically switch OBS to your IRL/Live scene — you're now fully live on stream.

Tips & Troubleshooting

🔊 Audio/Video Desync or Robotic Audio

If chat reports robotic audio or you notice A/V desync, type !fix in chat. This automatically toggles the OBS source off and back on. Mods can use this command too.

📺 Glitchy, Greyed, or "LSD" Video

This cannot be fixed with !fix — it's what low signal looks like just before it drops. Let NOALBS do its job and switch to the Low Bitrate scene automatically. Don't fight it. As soon as signal recovers, NOALBS will switch back on its own.

⚠️ Belabox Admin Stalling Error

If you see a stalling error (video, audio, or input source) at the top of the Belabox admin page, the camera or cable is usually the culprit. Reset the camera and/or unplug the cable from the camera and plug it back in — this resolves it most of the time.

📝 Audio Source selection

If you would like to use wireless mics with the setup (DJI Mic series or Rhode wireless) just plug the receiver into any USB A port on the setup. Black USB 2.0 port above where the hub plugs in is reccomended. Then simply select USB Audio from the Encoder Settings drop down menu on the Belabox Admin Page. If you are just using your camera's built in mic, make sure the camera is selected instead.

Common Error Messages

🆕 "Capture Card Error (Video) Trying to Restart.

Make sure the camera is powered on and set to webcam mode, then unplug and replug the USB cable from the camera into the Mushbox.

🆕 "Capture Card Error (AUDIO) Trying to Restart.

Make sure the camera is powered on and set to webcam mode, then unplug and replug the USB cable from the camera into the Mushbox.

🆕 "This encoder is offline. Don't refresh. this page will update automatically if the encoder comes online.

This error can have multiple meanings. If the mushbox is in fact on and running (green light on box) then this means the box is not connected to the internet (Check Cellular Hotspots/Dongles) or the device you are trying to view the admin page doesn't have an internet connection.

🆕 "No ALBS Error. Twitch Authentication Failed"

If you see ERROR Twitch authentication failed you need to update your Twitch Oauth key. Go to https://antiscuff.com/oauth/ login with Twitch, then copy the oauth code into the .env file located inside you Noalbs folder. Save the file then relaunch noalbs and ensure the error has gone away.
